Under the Patronage of His Excellency Dr. Youssef Walli, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, the Intergovernmental Organization for Marketing Information and Advisory Services for Fishery Products in the Arab Region "INFOSAMAK" organized, with the collaboration of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations "FAO" and with the contribution of the Common Fund for Commodities "CFC", the INFOSAMAK BUYER SELLER MEETING EDITION 2004 in Cairo-Egypt on 26-28 April 2004.

This event was held in conjunction with the first value-added seafood conference entitled: "Exploiting the Potential of the Arab Region to create employment and to increase revenues". This conference provided an in-depth analysis of the markets and consumer trends, and discussed the importance of new product development and other interesting topics and highlighted opportunities for exploiting the potential of the Arab Region in fisheries and aquaculture sector.
