Under the Auspices of the Omani Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, with the collaboration of the Food and Agriculture of the United Nations (FAO) and the support of the Common Fund for Commodities (CFC), INFOSAMAK organized from 5th to 7th December 2005, in Muscat (Sultanate of Oman), the 2005 Edition of its Buyer Seller Meeting (BSM), which was held alongside with a workshop on: “Traceability Systems and Marketing of Fish and Fishery Products”.
The meeting was attended by more than 80 delegates coming from 16 countries. The workshop was animated by recognized experts specialized in traceability, quality, labelling and marketing of fishery products and discussed more in depth with the attendees on how to trace and market seafood products according to the Regulation EC n°178/2002.
