Seafood International’s second annual value-added seafood conference has been postponed. It will now be held from November 17-18 at The Crowne Plaza St James Hotel in London.
Following on from the tremendous success of last year, the conference offers on in depth look at one of the most dynamic sectors in the seafood market. The program begins by analysing trends of same of the major regional markets. The UK, France and Germany all come under the spotlight, along with a view on the value-added sector from the other side of the Atlantic.
In each case, discussion covers the size of the market, consumer preferences for seafood and trends in product development. Seafood ready meals receive special attention.
The process of new product development, emerging species and the role of aquaculture all feature on the programme. With consumer awareness of the problems in world fish stocks growing all the time, the value of sustainable sourcing for seafood is covered along with food safety issues facing the industry.
