Continuation of the biological rest in cephalopods fishery.
In a statement released on the 24th October 2003, The Moroccan Minister of Maritime fishing has decided to extend of two months the biological rest in the cephalopods fishery in the south Atlantic. According to the ministry departments, this measure was taken further to the overexploitation of the resource and to a degradation close to the collapse of octopus imputed to the evolution of the climatic conditions.
