Al-Akhzami headed the Omani side in the Yemeni-Omani Committee of Activating Fishery Cooperation.
The committee agreed to carry out the terms of cooperation agreement within two years. They also agreed on holding a workshop on fishery researches in al-Mahrah governorate in mid 2006.
The committee also agreed to exchange to visits and experts concerning quality control and supervising industrial fishing.
The Omani official said that they had also agreed to hold a symposium of Yemeni and Omani businessmen to discuss the cooperation level to create a Yemeni-Omani partnership and to establish joint projects in the fishing area.
