FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization) has launched an expanded version of its database on fish species.

This catalogue is available on CD-ROM and includes over 5,000 records of introduction of different fish species. The revision was funded by FAO's working budget, the FishCode Project and the FAO-Netherlands Partnership Programme (FNPP). The aim of this database is to provide information on the benefits and risks of introducing new fish species in specific areas in addition to highlighting local regulations.
