NOUAKCHOTT, Dec. 29 - The Mauritanian President Sidi Ould Cheikh Abdellahi has received in Nouakchott, Minister of fishery wealth Mahmoud Ibrahim Saghiri who is visiting Mauritania.
During their meeting, they reviewed cooperation relations between the two countries over the fishery fields and means of insuring its strengthen in future were discussed during the meeting.
In a press statement after the meeting, Saghiri confirmed that he and the Mauritanian President pointed out the importance of exchanging experiences between the two countries in the fields of scientific research, training and other fishery industries.
Saghiri said that the discussions which he would hold with Mauritanian counterpart would focus on strengthening horizons of mutual cooperation relations between the two countries in fishery wealth, activating the understanding memo signed by the two countries five years ago.
Saghiri said that the two sides would review means of strengthening cooperation in fishery investment, exchanging experiences in research, inspection and supervising fishery, in addition to discussing means of benefiting from international agreements about marine fishery fields.
Saghiri noted also that he would sign on an executive work program for the agreement.
The Minister made it clear that Yemeni and Mauritanian investors would hold soon in Sana'a a consultative meeting to discuss possibilities of setting up joint investment projects in fishery fields.
