A new activity in Algerian Fisheries Sector, which is that of exporting the bluefin under Algerian label. Indeed, during the last two fishing operations carried out by Algerian tuna fishing boats, acquired by national operators, bluefin tuna caught in Algerian waters is labelled in Algeria before it is exported.

The information has been released by the head of Fisheries sector and marine resources, Mr. Smaïl Mimoune, who spoke during an assessment meeting that gathered decision makers in his department based in the Ministry Headquarter. Furthermore, Fish exports also concern other noble species, like Crustaceans and molluscs, which are considered products of high value, as was explained by the minister.
