29 investment operations in the agriculture and fisheries sector in the governorate of Bizerte were approved during the first quarter of this year, as stated by the regional director of the promotion agency of agricultural investments Mr Moez Frigui.

The official explained that the value of approved investment operations is estimated at two million two hundred thousand dinars, generating 35 fixed employment positions and several seasonal employment opportunities.
The approved projects that have registered an evolution of 78% over the same period of the previous year can "contribute to promoting the sector and strengthening its productive capacity and employability" as stated by the official, asserting that these projects include agricultural mechanization, fruit trees, livestock farming and acquisition of fishing equipment, in addition to development of agricultural services.
