Japan has granted Morocco 60 million dirhams to promote the sectors of fisheries and clean energy, under two agreements signed in Rabat.
Signed by Morocco's Foreign minister Saad El Dine Otmani and Japan's Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to the Kingdom Toshinori Yanagiya, the two agreements provide for granting financial aid to buy equipment.
The first batch, 10 million dirhams, is meant to purchase Japan-made sophisticated equipment for fisheries research, rescue and training, as well as rainfall and river flow monitoring.
The other 50 million dirhams will be allotted to supply the North African country with Japanese new-generation cars to support Morocco's efforts to promote environment-friendly cars.
