Such a listing, if accepted by the upcoming 15th session of the Conference of the Parties to CITES (13-25 March 2010, Doha, Qatar), would automatically implement a temporary ban on all international trade, stated CITES in October, 14th, 2009. This decision came to respond to the Monaco official proposal addressed to CITES with respect to bluefin tuna listing among highly endangered species.
